What Causes Bruise In Arm From Elbow To Shoulder?

my 10 year old gran daughter had a red spot on her arm then it turn purple 30 minutes later it spread up her arm and with in 2 hours her arm was bruised with streaks from elbow to shoulder. We took her to hospital and they found nothing. Now it has started on other arm. she has streaks of brusing running up her arm

Thank you for the concern. History is not so clear as it does not indicate any injury. So i think it may appear suddenly and than spread to whole arm and now same symptoms appear on the other arm than it may be bleeding disorder, Hemophillia, Von willebrand's disease. so immediately consult your treating pediatrician and get investigated.
