What Causes Bruise In The Corner Of Left Eye While On BP And Thyroid Medications?

I woke up this morning with the inner corner of my left eye bruised up and purple. I am 56 years old. I take thyroid medication daily now for the past 3 years, but this week I missed the dose twice. I was taken blood pressure medication one month ago after eight years on it. My blood sugar was at 6.0 in June, but through diet and exercise it went back to 5.7 a month ago. Not sure if any of these conditions are related to the purple eye, but thought I d mention them. Thanks!

Hi and welcome to HCM,
From your description it seems that you have a subconjuctival hemorrhage.
The outer white coat of the eye contains, microscopic blood capillaries, which are very fragile, and can easily bleed, causing the purple discoloration. You may have inadvertently rubbed your eyes, vigorously, during sleep. Fortunately, it is pain less and not serious, and would spontaneously dis appear in a weeks time.
All the best !!!
