What Causes Bruise Like Rash On Knuckles And Wrists With Vomiting?
Both my son and daughter (6 and 10yrs) got this bruise looking rash on the knuckles and wrist. They both threw up only once. My niece also got the bruises around a month prior to them and still there. She is 20 years and was around them for aprix 3 hours only. What can it be and should I worry? Doctor at Kaiser had no clue of what it could be.
Bruise like rashes on the wrists and knuckles with vomiting is indicative of rashes due to food allergy. Give them anti emetics if needed. Keep them well hydrated. After cleaning the skin apply steroid cream or ointment in the area affected. They should get relieve. If not, you are suggested to get them clinically examined in the ER. It could be scabies. Clean their clothes and bedding with hot water. Do not let them share toiletries. Local application of scabicide creams or lotions are effective. Apply Ascabiol lotion in the area affected. Leave it for about 40-50 minutes and then wash it. Repeat after 15 days. It should go away.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
