What Causes Bruise On The Knee In A Sjogren S Syndrome Patient?

I have a bruise similar to others mentioned here. I have a circular bruise with a clear center on the inside of my knee. I found this the morning after I went to physical therapy for osteoarthritis in my knees. I also have Sjogren s Syndrome. My knees did swell some and I put a freezer pack on my knees but not in the spot where the bruise is located. Any suggestions? I am on Plaquenil. Thank you.

It is unlikely for a bruise to occur spontaneously without trauma in the patient of Sjogren's disease.
