What Causes Bruises And Painful Areas Around The Finger Knuckles?
Hi, I an 68, female, healthy, 5 2 60kgs. I often get either itchy or painful areas around finger knuckles, which then turn blue and bruised looking. Are these small burst blood vessels, or small clots? Do I need to have this checked out? It s been happening for several years. Otherwise my health is fine. I take ssri 20mg for depression Thank you Sandra

Respected Sandra, hi it seems age related changes of the microcirculation regarding blue and bruise appearance is concerned. as far as itchy aspect it relates to dryness of the part for which you can have help of coconut hair oil or olive oil application for the same else nothing to worry at all dear thanks regards
