What Causes Bruises On The Leg?

I had an autoimmune panel done last month (no cbc). My last CBC was 6 months ago. I was wondering if the autoimmune panel could alert doctors of my platelets or blood count being off. I have seen many bruises on my legs as of late. I believe the bruises on my leg are a result of a broken matress spring however I still have concerns. I also have about 13 individual bruises on my upper thigh that have almost dissappeared yet still concern me since i cant recall any injury.

Hi,

The autoimmune panel does not usually include a complete blood count. The complete blood count would be necessary to assess the platelets or hemoglobin.

Since you are experiencing abnormal bruising, you should consider having a repeat complete blood count along with a bleeding profile.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
