What Causes Bruising And Pain In The Fingers?

I get a sharp pain followed by bruising/purpling, usually limited to my fingers only. This has been going on for a few years. I have mentioned it to my primary care physician a few times, and he just seems to think it s curious and leaves it at that. I would like some kind of direction as to what might cause this.

Hello,

Bruising without injury may be seen in people taking blood thinners like warfarin or dabigatran etc. Infections of liver or sepsis or thrombocytopenia etc.

Only bruising on hands may be drug eruption or insect bites or allergy to soap or moisturizing cream.

Use antihistamine tablet, check clotting profile, platelet count then consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
