I WAS DOING YARD WORK AND NOTICED THAT THE SOLE OF MY FOOT HURT ALL OVER, I USED SOME OLD TENNIS SHOES THAT WERE PAST THEIR PRIME(I HAD PUT SOME FOOT CUSHIONS IN THEM). TODAY I NOTICED THAT I HAVE BRUISING ON MY INSTEP AND HEEL, ALSO ON TOP MY FOOT. IS THIS A STONE BRUISE OR SPRAIN?
Thanks for consulting the Physicians at HealthCare Magic. I have worked through your case thoroughly, and I can easily realize your health worries. Being your physician, I reassure you not to worry as things will settle down very soon.
Stone bruise or sprain must have been in your knowledge. It looks like an allergic and inflammatory reaction to the foot. You need to apply Arnica Gel cream on the foot. It will quench pain and give you relief. Take Ibuprofen 800mg twice daily by mouth. Its all needed.
If you feel that the aforementioned treatmet is no more working for you and/or you feel more swelling and infection kind of thing, consult your physician for evaluation and prescription of Augmentin 1g antibiotic.
Apply heat to the affected foot and limit activity for some time. Don't keep the foot in dependant position so as to reduce swelling.
May you get very well soon and have a wonderful time ahead. Please don't forget to give your valuable feedback to help us assist you in a better way.
Regards!
