What Causes Bruising Around The Navel After Tubal Ligation?
I had a tubal ligation done through my belly button 6 weeks ago. It healed up very quickly and didnt have any redness or sorness since 2 weeks after. Now, 6 weeks later it has all of a sudden became sore and feels really bruised with a hard feeling all around it. What could be causing this?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Redness and soreness about the wound what you have noticed in the naval region following tubal ligation operation appears that it could be due to improper healing. Kindly do the following to overcome it. 1. Take antiinflammatory medication Tablet.Ibuprofen twice daily after food. 2. Clean the wound with antiseptic solution like Povidine-iodine twice daily. 3. Apply Neomycin cream over the lesion after drying. Keep the wound dry and healthy free from getting infected. Try not to exert pressure or friction over the lesion. The lesion should heal in about a week time. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
