What Causes Bruising In Inner Ear Of Child?
what could be cause of bruising to the inner ear of chlild under two years ....... proffessionals claiming non accidental but I havnt done anything...... they say it is inflited.... I have not done this or left my child int he care of others so I am very perplexed by it all........ are there any possible explanation. the medics have dismissed the gule ear and that my child has been banging the side ofd his head with his hands over a few months...... I raqised this as a possible explanation byt they do not seem to be interested. we have no history with childrens services ????

Hi,
Noted the history about your 2 year old child having bruise in inner ear - it is basically about hte external ear canal you are talking about.
The commonest cause of a bruise in the ear canal of a child of 2 years are as following:
Child mimics the actions of the family members. Someone in family must be cleaning the ear with ear buds or anything else that the child wants to do and thus this is self inflicted injury.
You can not have 24/7 vigilance
Another reason is trying to clear wax or foreign body by family members.
Can be congenital hemangioma or so.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult an ENT Surgeon as he is one most acquainted with such problems and thus can have most proper diagnosis and treatment.
Do not do anything at home for child's sake.
