What Causes Bruising In The Foot That Extends Up To The Ankle?
My 87 year old mother dropped a candle in her foot. She has bruising that covers her foot and goes up to her ankle. She also has swelling on the top of the foot. She can move her toes and is in no pain. This injury occurred approximately 10 days ago. It s not getting better but it is also not getting worse.

I recommend applying cold compresses locally. She should keep her feet raised to reduce swelling. Should apply fresh aloe vera locally.
If no improvement should consult further with her doctor as might require more specific treatment.
