What Causes Bruising In The Left Upper Arm Of An Elderly Person?

My mother is 90 yrs. she has a reoccurring dvt r lower leg. She has a IVC filter. She had painful L upper arm bruising and swelling which travelled down her arm to her hand. She was currently on lovenox bid. They dc’d her lovenox 2 weeks ago and her arm recovered. Today I noticed her L upper arm is bruised ( softball size) once again. She now states that she can’t not feel her 5 th digit. ( I currently have her arm elevated) Previous hemoglobin 8.9 Please advise Thank you

It seems to be the peripheral vascular disease and looking to her age supportive treatment is the way out there else nothing much aggressive treatment can be given, if she is not bed ridden then balance diet and plenty off water may helps her, else the supportive treatment like elevated limb, compression bandage, IV fluid may help her.
