What Causes Bruising Of The Finger Post A Finger Prick Blood Test?

Hi, I have just gotten finished going through chemo treatments so I am very use to getting pricked with needles. In my class the other day I had to prick myself in the finger to test my blood type. Since then my finger has been bruised very badly. This has never happened before with any of my prices. What could this be from?

Hi,

It is due to local inflammation and will settle by itself. As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief. You can also apply ice packs for symptomatic relief.
