What Causes Bruising On The Stomach Of An Infant Suffering From Constipation?
My 2 month old baby has what looks like a bruise on his tummy this is the second time he s had this in exact same place he only poos every four days and seems to uncomfortable when he needs to go he s currently in hospital but they can t find an explanation and until they do he s been taken from me so I need to get to the bottom of what keeps causing this
First of all it's sad to know what your child had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, he needs to have clotting profile, bleeding time, clotting time and prothrombin time evaluation to rule out cause of spontaneous bruising.
Ultrasound abdomen and if needed CT scan for any visceral cause or signs of gut pathology. Pediatric surgeon evaluation seems necessary.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
