What Causes Bubble Like Feeling In Kneecap While Squatting?
whenever I bend down like into a squat position it feels like there is some sort of bubble in my knee cap on the lower left side ( of my right knee) normally when I go into a squatting position (like a baseball catcher) my knees pop, only my left one has been popping not my right one, also it hurts
Crepitus is the popping sound heard while moving a joint.
Gases like carbon dioxide can build up inside the joint fluid. When the joint is flexed, the gas bursts causing the popping sound.Occasional crepitus can occur in normal persons.
It can occur due to prolonged immobility, arthritis or osteoarthritis of the joint.
In case of regular crepitus causing pain and swelling, then treatment is required.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards Dr.Saranya Ramadoss, General and Family Physician
