Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have noticed bubbles in my urine. I had a urine test done - negative protein, slight ketone, liquid gravity 1.002 I am post menapausal and have had prolapse from the birth of my babies. Could that be causing the bubbles? I have no other symptoms. Also had a tragedy in the family causing me anxiety - can emotional stress cause the bubbles? My glucose levels are normal - blood test was normal as well.
There are various factors causing foaming in urine:
- high concentrated urine most probably due to dehydration
- a full bladder can also cause urine to get foamy as urination becomes faster and forceful.
Good blood glucose is ok and no protein in the urine. So, try to keep well hydrated. Use cranberry as a supplement or as tea. Try not to hold urine for longer. Go to the bathroom each time you feel the urge.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
General & Family Physician
