Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
bulge under inguinal hernia incision is not visible upon awakening in the morning but appears in a couple of ours of activity. Is this a seroma or the healing ridge? I am am not in any major pain and hope that the hernia did not redevelop.Based on Surgeeon advice, I started to exercise on treadmill/no Surgery was 4 weeks ago. My Surgeon said that all is ok and it is a fluid build up that we will follow up in 4 weeks
Hi I did review your concern. Check if the bulge increase when you cough. You can ask your friend to close his eyes put his hand over the bulge and when you cough ask him if he feels any change in the feeling of bulge. If its positive , it may be due to hernia redeveloping ,FLuid can also accumulate due to mesh placement or the general nature of hernia surgeries. It would be then nice to followup with the doctor. Meanwhile in any case you have severe abdominal pain or constipation immediately go see a doctor nearby. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions or concerns. wish you a very healthy life ahead.
