What Causes Bulging And Pulsating Vein On Forehead While Suffering From BPPV?

I have had on-going BPPV for several years now. Recently when it came on, I noticed I had a bulging, pulsating vein on my forehead. I went to urgent care, but all my initial exams came out normal. Should I be concerned? This bout of BPPV has lasted for 9 days so far...

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Bulging veins are usually superficial and are not of concern. However, they may be of concern, if accompanied by pain or headache, particularly accompanied by any other underlying disease. Also, some people find it bothersome, but they do not need any treatment except simple assurance. Also migraine and cluster headaches are frequent accompanying features of BPPV, which may also cause bulging pulsating veins on forehead during an episode of BPPV.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
