Hi,

In children fontanelle (Considering Anterior fontanelle) closes by 18months of age.

A small bulge in anterior fontanelle during excessive cry, vomitings, cough, sneezing is common and not harmful. But it ll settle down when baby becomes calm. In your child's that bulge seems normal.

But tender fontanelle, a persistent bulge in fontanelle because of improper circulation of fluid covering the brain. In those kinds of situations, you should worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
