Dear Sir My wife feeling tingling vain above right year on skull portion. It is not continuous but intermittently and feel pain when skull pressed mildly. The problem is aggravated in night. She is on course of antibiotic for 15 days due to small cyst bellow jaw however it is reducing but not completely gone. I have consulted neurologist and he said it is muscular pain. but she feels sudden pinching of vain in skull. Plz suggest me
Bulging vein pain which your wife is experiencing is because of the inflammation of the affected vein that is causing her discomfort. Since she is on antibiotics, the swelling (bulging) will reduce as the medicine works. If she feels discomfort then report to the treating doctor, get her clinically examined & get MRI / magnetic resonance angiography done to detect the pathology causing the discomfort.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
