What Causes Bump Internally Near Groin Area?

Hi I have a bump near my groind area and the bump is internal. I don t know what it is. I can walk with it but it hurts a little when I bend that leg back. I was wondering if it s a lymph node. I went ice-skating two days in a row. I guess my body wasn t used to it because my legs were very sore the next day. I also fell on the ice two times. Idk what is, and I haven t seen my doctor yet. Please help!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
As you suspect, a lump in the groin is usually a lymph node. These usually arise due to infection in the foot. if you have sustained even small trauma during your skating, it would catch infection in the leg which can manifest as groin lymph node.
You may use antibiotics like Doxycyclene 100 mg twice a day for 5 days and if you see no reduction in size, you need to consult a doctor to rule out other causes.
Hope this helped.
