What Causes Bump On Labia Post Shaving?

hi, I am 22 years old and I am sexually active. I am african american and i shave my labia. I dont like the natural look. I have a bump that is under the skin on my labia. I have plucked all of the hairs out of it but it does not have a head for me to pop it. I know that it is not an std because I had an std test at the beginning of april and I have only one partner who has been my partner for the last 3 years. I am also his only partner. Could you tell me the best way to get rid of this bump.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,welcome to HCM forum.
This may indicate beginning of a boil/folliculitis.
After confirming the diagnosis, this can be treated with antibiotics and analgesics for a few days.Your doctor will guide in this.
To avoid frequent recurrence, clean the area before shaving with soap and water, and use after shave lotion.
Hope this answer will help.
Thank you.
