What Causes Bump On Upper Back Side Of Head Due To Falling Down?
I fell earlier today while skateboarding without a helmet have not felt dizzy, nauseated, confused, etc since. There is only a very slight bump on the back upper right of my head which hurts when I touch it/apply pressure to it. Should I seek medical attention or will I be fine? 24/f/5 4/140lbs
Well it looks like your already aware of the signs of traumatic brain injury
So far from your description it seems like you've had a mild traumatic head injury
Not to worry , just keep an eye to yourself for the next 24Hrs keep a Ice-pack/bag of frozen peas onto the bump of head but if any of those alarming signs( Abnormal body movements, dizzy, nauseated, vomiting, confused etc. ) tend to appear or if you notice that the size of the bump is increasing in size even after few hors of the injury, then do check into your nearest ER and probably get a CT-Scan of Head done.
In the meanwhile don't indulge into any strenuous activities/avoid driving/operating heavy machineries for a few days
Hope this'll help you and thanks again for contacting HCM , will see you soon again
