What Causes Bumps On Fingertips And Numbness In Face?
A peer of mine has been overseas for a few weeks and developed tiny bumps to her fingertips, numbness to her face, and tiny bumps to her upper lips today. She has no food allergies, but took a Zyrtec yesterday and Benadryl today. There were no noted changes to her daily regimen. Any ideas?
Hi. As per your case history of bumps on fingers and numbness on face, my treatment advice is - 1. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on fingers twice daily. 2. Take a vitamin b12 supplement once daily for 3 months. 3. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with spf more than 30. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
