Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, I have noticed tiny bubble like bumps in the roof of mouth on the soft palate. It is difficult for me to swallow/eat the normal food. I am currently consuming yogurt based food. And I am using work water for drinking. These bumps are irritating. Veeresh Mathad.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that bumps on the roof of the mouth that are bubble like and cause difficulty in swallowing can be due to causes like Viral infection caused by Herpes Simplex Virus Infection while can also be due to bacterial infection or allergic reaction.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like throat swab culture and blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. In case of Viral infection you can be advised antiviral medication like Acyclovir, Valacyclovir etc.. In case of Bacterial infection antibiotics can be advised.. In case of allergic reaction anti-allergics like Levocetrizine can be advised along with ruling out the cause for allergy and avoid exposure to allergen for preventing recurring symptoms..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
