I had a cold and sore throat about 2 weeks ago. Cold now gone but sore throat still present although not so bad. Past few days got dry cough worse morning and night or if breathing in air. Now since yesterday got few bumps on rough of mouth. What could it be please. Worried its something serious.
Hello, You have probably dehydrated your tissue and need to heal. Tissue can have an inflammatory reaction or become sensitive. Antiinflammatory medication such as Tylenol or Advil may help.,Salt water rinses and vitamin B are helpful to assist healing. Did you take an antibiotic? If bacteria, not viral, you may need a prescription to completely clear up your cold. When health is compromised or taking antibiotics, fungal infections can develop which cause sore tissue and often a coating on the tongue. This condition requires Nystantin prescription medication. Prevention includes probiotics, acidopholus and yogurt. The palate can have bumps of excess bone known as tori that are a normal part of your anatomy. Ask your dentist to evaluate the area. Abrupt changes raise a greater concern . Continue to monitor the area for changes. Keep up with regular dental exams to evaluate your overall dental health. Thankbyou for your inquiry. I hope you find my suggestions helpful.
