What Causes Burning And Itching Rashes Around Hernia Mesh Placed Area?
Hi I had mesh used for hernia surgury I am getting red ring like rashes and they burn and itch over a large portion of my body I have gone to dermetologists repeatedly and they have done biopotsy. Patch test blood tests I get cream but it doesn t make the rushes go away what is the cure for it
As per my clinical experience, the burning and itching rashes around hernia-mesh placed area, do indicate significant under-lyng disorder like: - Fungal infection with Tinea corporis - Contact dermatitis through undergarment strip or else - Uncontrolled blood sugar as diabetes or others In my clinic after thorough clinical examination, I do recommend: @ Culture swab report of the rash @ Anti histamine tablet @ KOH preparation with wet mount film
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
