What Causes Burning And Numbing Pain On The External Legs?

For years I ve been dealing with shooting, burning and numbing pain on the outside of my legs. It s embarrassing because it makes me jump and sometimes it s so bad I can t get thru the store. Now every once in a bit, I get them in my arms, upper back and breasts. I have a bad lower back and I think I have a pinched nerve or something.
