What Causes Burning And Stinging Pain In Wrists, Fingers, Shoulders, Ankles And Feet?
I have burning and stinging pain in my wrists, fingers, shoulders, ankles, and feet, and pain in my legs and arms. My arms and hands go numb when at rest. I have a hard time getting up from a chair. I am able to a lot of physical activity once I get my body going. I have a hard time moving when getting up from a chair. Associated with this I often get nauseated if I do not eat often. I am not diabetic, and I don t seem to have rhumetoid arthritis. Any ideas
Burning and stinging pain is most commonly related to nerve related issues, this would be called peripheral neuropathy since it involves the nerves outside of the brain and spinal cord.
There are different causes: (1) vitamin b12 or folate deficiency (2)liver or kidney disease (3)diabetes- though you stated this is not a concern (4)trauma (5)nerve related conditions such as ms, stroke (6)side effect of medication
Blood tests can check the kidney, liver and also check the levels of vitamin b12, folate.
I hope this helps
