Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past 2 hours I have felt what seems to be a Burning Cramp in my stomach area. I have gone to the restroom thinking I may have needed to evacuate my bowels but nothing came out and the pressure/cramping was still there. It has gotten a little better within the past few minutes, but it is still there. No fever, slight chills, slight nausea as well.
Abdominal cramps may be caused by a benign cause like intestinal gases or a viral gastroenteritis or it's a sign of a more serious condition like food poisoning or appendicitis. For now you need to have rest, eat a warm meal like soup or drink warm water and put on some clothes to warm yourself For nausea you can take metoclopramide 3 times daily 15 minutes before meals. I don't recommend taking anti-spasmodic for now to avoid masking the real cause by anti-spasmodic. If your symptoms getting worse, you should go to the emergency department immediately.
Hope I answered your question Wish you a speedy recovery Best regards Dr. Noor Farid
