What Causes Burning Feeling While Taking Cephalexin-500mg For Frequent Urge To Urinate?

I am talking Cephalexin 500mg for frequent feeling of need to urinate and have large amount to get rid of--I m on my 3rd full day and still need to go often--I am 71 and my tissues have a burning feeling--should this go away soon?--I am handicapped and it is difficult to go often--am I expecting too much too soon?

Hi,

It might be UTI or BPH. Need to investigate physically to rule out both. If you are feeling burning micturition along with abdominal pain, it will be mostly due to UTI. If you can't void it fully and have difficulty in micturition, it might be a BPH.
