What Causes Burning Pain In Vaginal Area After A Cut Near Vagina?

Hi. My name is Shay. I have been experiencing some pain/burning in my vagina area. I was able to get my boyfriend to examine the problem. He says it was a small cut or tear in the perineum area closer to the vagina. Medically, what can I do about the pain and is it something I should be concern about?

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

It could be due to that small cut or ulcer for which you are having burning or pain.

You can apply antiseptic cream or ointment twice daily with some pain killer medications available over the counter.

You can also get your self examined to rule out any bacterial or fungal infection.

Consult gynecologist for further advice.

Regards,
