What Causes Burning Pain Under The Right Eye?

My daughter started with a burning pain under her right eye and swelling.no she has under eye swelling and burning in both eyes 12 hours later and her right tonsil appears to be swollen. She also has stuffy nose. She also says her throat itches only when she eats. She took 1/2 benadryl twice today. Should I take her to an emergency room? No shortness of breath.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By her history and description, possibility of viral infection is more.
So do following things for better symptomatic relief.
1. Tell her to drink plenty of fluids orally.
2. Warm water gargles and steam inhalation 4-5 times a day are very beneficial.
3. Ask her to avoid oily, spicy, junk food.
4. Give her combination of antihistamine (levocetrizine or fexofenadine) and anti inflammatory (paracetamol).
Don't worry, she will be alright with all these in 1 week. If she don't improve then consult doctor. No need to rush to the doctor at present.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your daughter. Thanks.
