What Causes Burning Pain While Passing Stool?

Dear Doctor Request advise. As am in burning pain while passing stool. Till yesterday and very high fever but stopped after changing doctor. I have visited 4 Doctors. Doctor A - 5 days back. General physician. Advised me to visit a surgeon. Doctor B- visited a surgeon 4 days back. Advised me I have fistula and need operation. Doctor C- visited 3 days back. Very senior surgeon. Advised I have sub mucus fistula need minor operation. All 3 doctors advised same medicine. But I had non stop fever bursts of 100-103.8 degree. Doctor D - visited 2 days back. Very senior and reputed endocrinologist. Advised me I have boils not yet developed into fistula. Said I should try new medicine for 5days. May not need surgery. No never since taking his medicine. I have been doing sit baths. 2 time a day. Undergoing a lot of pain and discomfort while passing stool. Unbearable sensation. Please advise. What should I be doing. Even though I have more faith in Dr D. Kindly help.

Hello

Welcome to HCM

Thanks for asking a question

I will be glad to answer it for you

Hi, I guess the last doctor, Endocrinologist gave you 5 days of antibiotics.

Fever will not be there in plain fistula, only if the fistula is infected or if the boil exists fever will be present.

So, according to me, taking and competing the 5 day course of antibiotic is the right thing to do.

Along with that take NSAID's, sitz bath and lignocaine ointment alternately so that the inflammation and pain decreases.

Wait for week, and take an another opinion, and if the fistula persisits, go for a surgery.

Hope this helps

Best Regards
Dr Chaithanya
