Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Burning Sensation Above The Incision Site After A C-section?
i had a c section on January 29th of this year. The incision is finally healed with help from a wound vac. Now im recently starting to feel a burning sensation right above the incision site. It happens when i lay on my stomach and get up, sometimes it feels like something moves on the inside. Is this normal?
The symptoms seem to be related to the recovery process. As an incision heals, it is normal to a burning sensation or other symptoms such as itching or redness. I suggest to use anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to treat this symptoms. They will go away gradually as the wound will heal completely.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
