Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Burning Sensation And Irritation In The Eyes?
Eyes are burning and irritated. Working on a project at work where I had to strain my eyes a lot yesterday. I also colored my hair and was cleaning the house with normal house products. Eyes were getting irritated while coloring my hair but I did not think that I got anything in my eyes. They have been burning since this morning and causing major headache at work for still working on the report.
The burning of the eyes when the hair was colored may mean that either some of the product entered your eyes or the fumes were over whelming. Fumes from cleaning products can also be overwhelming. Copious eye washing is the main initial treatment for any product in the eyes but this would have been necessary when it occurred. It may be best to visit your doctor for an assessment to make sure that there is no injury to the eyes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
