Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Burning Sensation And Numbness Under Knee?
I have a burning sensation, numbness feeling under my right knee, toward the outer side of my leg. The spot is round in size about the circumference of a plum. It only hurts or I experience a burning sensation when I rub it against something. This rug burn sensation began about 3 weeks ago and there is no redness, bruising or lesion.
Based on the history you have shared, you are likely having Baker’s cyst under your knee. You need to consult your orthopaedic surgeon in this regard. As it can rupture and cause severe pain. Before that it can be removed surgically as it is causing you discomfort.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
