What Causes Burning Sensation And Pain On The Foot?

My feet hurt, mostly the feeling of burning and sharp pain from the top of my foot that radiates to the inside of the arch. I also have 2 toes that are somewhat numb (4th toe on each foot). Ball of left foot burns most of the time. I ve tried zillions of shoes, gel inserts, orthotics, etc. When your feet hurt you hurt all over.

I have some questions to ask you:
1. Do you have any of these - constipation, diarrhea, drop in blood pressure, digestive problem?
2. From when this problem started?
3. Do you drink alcohol?
4. Is there a fever or rashes?
5. Any medication you are on?
6. Is there night sweating? Is there a headache?

The above questions are crucial in diagnosis.

There are many tests to be done. Primarily, do these tests only:
1. EMG
2. Thyroid Function (T3, T4, TSH)
3. Complete Blood Count
4. Fasting Blood Sugar
5. Nerve Conduction Study
6. Kidney Function Tests.

With the answers and tests results, either posts another question or consult a doctor. Do not worry. With all the results and answers, it can be followed up and diagnosis can be made and the treatment can be given.
