What Causes Burning Sensation Around A Methamphetamine Injection Spot?

hi i get a red rash and burning sensation around the spot where I ve injected meth and sometimes a tiny bubble. I always clean the area well and use clean needles and sterilized water the rash does go away but just wondered wat causes it??. also sometimes get a little hard lump under the skin where I have injected??

Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, self injection in your case isn't recommended and bulb can be due to improperly placed needle or technique related error.

Such may also cause local thrombophlebitis. Local anti inflammatory creams like ibuprofen may be helpful. For itching anti histamines like cetrizine or loratidine can be used.

But self-injection of methamphetamine is a crime in most countries and should only be used for medical purposes by health care provider.
