What Causes Burning Sensation During Urination Postpartum?

I m 10 weeks post delivery. I have burning sensation while urinating over stitches. Mine was a normal delivery. When I checked with my gyno at 5 weeks she said that the stitches didn t heal well & I was asked to sit in betadin. Lastly when I went for a check up at 8 weeks she said it has healed but still I feel that burning sensation and feel v painful during intercourse. What should I do?

Hello Welcome to Health Care Magic.
Burning sensation during urination can be due to urinary infection. you need to take oral antibiotics. and it will also help in healing your stitches better if any infection. and I must say you are very early in starting your sexual life if you are feeling pain. and this discomfort can be due to improper stitches which has narrowed your gap. you can check your self by fingering where the problem is. Is it vagina that is hurting or only the opening is narrowed so minor surgical procedure can reconstruct it.
