What Causes Burning Sensation During Urination While Suffering From Dengue?
I am having burning sensation whilst urinate!! I believe, urinary track is fine but there is some infection on the outer part of the vagina.. Please advise any soothing gel or can I use citralka syrup dose.Note: I am diagnosed with dengue too. Many thanks!!!
Hello and welcome to HCM, Burning sensation while urinating is suggestive of urinary tract infection (UTI). Urinary tract infection can involve the vagina and vice versa. I suggest you to get a urine examination- routine and microscopy to look for infection. In case there is evidence of infection, a urine culture needs to be done. The causative organism will be detected on urine culture and the culture needs to be followed by antibiotic sensitivity. Antibiotic sensitivity will select the most appropriate antibiotic effective against the causative micro-organism. Dengue is not associated with UTI but the antibiotic for UTI should be taken after consulting your physician because a number of drugs lower the platelets.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
