What Causes Burning Sensation During Urination?

I went to the doctor yesterday and I gave them a urine sample which had a blood clot in it and it was completely red and they told me it was a severe UTI, I ve been taking cipro 500mg for a day now and the blood and blood clots have gone down, but it still burns when I pee. Could this be Chlamydia instead of a severe UTI?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Burning due to UTI only.
It will disappear slowly once you have started the treatment.
Continue to take ciproflaxacin according to your doctor advise.
Along with that take following advises:
Tablet pyridium and nitrofurantoin
Syrup cital
Drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pine apple
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
Repeat the urine test after completion of treatment to confirm the clearance of infection.
Hope this may help you
