Hello. Burning urine question late afternoon and evening. Drink plenty of water. Seems to coincide with intentional gas or constipation. I am wondering if any of my medications may prompt this. I take 100mg Zoloft, 300mg Wellbutrin, 25mg hctz, 100mg atenolol, and 5mg amlodipine. Thank you.
Hello, Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern
Burning pain during micturituon will not be caused by the medications you are taking. The most likely cause is urinary tract infection. UTI needs to be treated with antibiotics like nitrofurantoin for 7-10 days. Urine analysis and culture is required to confirm the diagnosis. Drink plenty of fluids and take Tylenol for pain. Please follow up with your primary provider to undergo urine analysis and initiate antibiotics.
