Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m having a warm sensation in my entire abdomen area. Just wondering what it could be. It s been going on for over an hour. No blood in stool. I am on probtix and currently taking flagyl and zoloft 200mg. My GI thinks I have a stomach ulcer and am Scheduled for an EGD soon. Could this be from the ulcer?
an ulcer typically causes pain in the middle upper part of the abdomen, but pain might radiate to other areas. So an ulcer (or gastritis) can be a possible cause for the pain you are describing. For the medications you are describing this wouldn't be a common sideeffect that is desribed. If it is an ulcer there is effective therapy available such as acid blocking pills like pantoprazole. If it is not an ulcer or gastritis you need to reevaluate with your local md. Other diagnostics that could follow are an ultrasound of the abdomen or a coloscopy. Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards
