What Causes Burning Sensation In Arms And Vomiting After Exercising With Body Blade?

I did some exercise with an item called the body blade. The next day I had burning down both of my arms. This eventually spread to my chest. Then diminished when I sat down and did some slow breathing exercises. I had this for about 5 days. Other symptoms became nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and sleep. I told a friend who had experienced heart attacks since she was in her 40 s. As I have Fibromyalgia and COPD, I did not think heart attack as she did. She told me to go to a doctor ASAP and have it checked out. Yes, I had experienced a heart attack. I had never read anything about burning in the arms, etc. Maybe this should be listed just so women are more aware of this symptom.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be muscular pain in the pectoral muscle due to the exercises you mentioned. As during early days such pains can be experienced.

Though with every chest pain no matter how atypical it is, it's always better to have an EKG for reassurance for your pre morbids or associated conditions. If it's normal, further investigation is less likely. However, a cardiac and chest examination by your primary care physician can be helpful.

Meanwhile you can use OTC analgesics like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with muscle relaxants like Tizanidine for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
