What Causes Burning Sensation In Chest After Eating?
Hi I feel a burning sensation in my chest everything I drink soda or eat anything hot temperature wise (not spicy) ......I believe I burnt my esophagus eating a microwaved corndog about 3 days ago and about 1 day after that this started happening......is there anything I should do myself to fix this or any OTC medication you recommend.......it seems to be slightly better today but the pain when I drink or eat burns like crazy.......thank you and it kinda feels like heartburn when I eat mainly but occasionally when I swallow.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of burning sensation in chest after eating which could be due to colitis or worm infestation and intestinal hyper-motility. It could be due to excessive acid production in stomach. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take Probiotics, Curd, yogurt and banana as a home remedy. Avoid fatty, hot, spicy and junk food or carbonated drinks. Have plenty of water and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Take course of antibiotics like tinidazole or metronidazole and probiotics. If it doesn't improve then you must visit a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy and further examination. maintain proper hygiene.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
