What Causes Burning Sensation In Chest During Cough, headache And Flu?

When I cough my chest burns and it is productive. Mild to no fever, headache, stuffy nose but runny, ears congested. I have done a netty pot and am taking Tylenol and all a seltzer cold and flu. Should I go to urgent care? I have been like this for five days now.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Common cold or flu is due to viral infection and it will usually last 5 to 7 days. Only symptomatic treatment is necessary for this. Seltzer cold you are taking is a symptomatic remedy which contain antihistamine chlorpheniramine, Paracetamol for fever and discomfort and decongesant phenylephrine. It can be used in acute period for 3 to 5 days. If secondary infection signs like purulent sputum or chest pain or discomfort you should approach your GP for antibiotic therapy. More than 5 days duration can be bacterial infection secondarily.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
