What Causes Burning Sensation In Leg After A Injury?

I was in a car accident .. I banged my leg.. And now I m having burning sensation .. Like spirits off and on... It wakes me out of my sleep... Plus I had surgery on the same leg.. A knee replacement a year ago.. What could be the cause of the burning

Hi,

The burning sensation is suggestive of pressure or irritation on the nerve supplying the area. Alternatively, the same can be caused by the the bang on the leg can disturb the prosthetic implant leading to pressure on adjacent nerve to start your complaint. You need to get it investigated under a guide of your knee surgeon for more specific help.
