What Causes Burning Sensation In My Foot?

Istepped on a vacuum cleaner hose and twisted my foot. Its not super painful but has a burning sensation when I step on it and is tingling/numb when I m not. The burning will radiate about half way up my shin. Numbness & burning is the upper part of my foot. Will rest and elevation calm it down or do I need to see a doctor tomorrow? Nebvermind I don t have mokney to pay for an answer online. Guess I will go to the Dr and pay them the same amount for an exam.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
Welcome to HCM!
You are probably suffering from an ankle strain.
If I were your treating doctor, I'd advice you -
1. Rest and elevation
2. A crepe bandage
3. Analgesics to counter the pain.
These three measure should be enough and you should start feeling better in 5-6 days time.
If even then you don't feel better, you should visit and orthopaedician and get few scans done.
Hope I've solved your query. Feel free to ask for any doubt .
Regards,
Dr. Sridhar Reddy
