What Causes Burning Sensation In Stomach After Eating Bananas?
I can no longer eat bananas without experiencing a burning sensation in my stomache which can only be relieved by vomiting I have tried hiding the fruit in salads and cereals with the same results this has not plauged me my entire life only over the last few years so I doubt its an allergy
Hi, If burning sensation occurs immediately after eating and since more than 1 year then it could be due to dyspepsia, acute gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease or may be gastric ulcer etc. These are the one of the most common causes of burning sensation followed by vomiting. You should undergo routine blood, gastric juice analysis( for H.Pylori infection) and ultrasound of abdomen. Upper GI scopy(endoscopy) will make a accurate diagnosis. Treatment is mainly depending upon the underlying cause but you can take prokinetic drugs in combination with proton pump inhibitors and antacid gel or syrup for immediate relief. You consult gastroenterologist for further advise.
